MARDI HIMAL AROUND ANNAPURNA RANGE

On arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, received by our guides and staff and then transfer you to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city.
After getting refreshed join in with other members of Mardi Himal around Annapurna Trekking where our guide will brief you regarding trekking, do’s and don’ts, Nepalese culture, lodge on route trek with full information to make your stay with us enjoyable and memorable, evening welcome dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with folk-cultural program as entertainment during dinner.      

Morning by 9 a.m. after breakfast for sightseeing tour within heart of Kathmandu around old Durbar (royal palace and courtyard) square, of historical importance includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings.

Tour leads to famous landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha.

Afternoon visit holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath adorned with silver doors and golden tiers roofed pagoda a popular and famous temple where thousands of pilgrims visits every year in the month of February on Shiva Rartri (Lord Shiva birth anniversary). From Pashupatinath a short drive to Bouddhanath with Asia’s largest domed Stupa with four cardinals eyes of Buddha surrounded with prayer wheels and small market with interesting stores, shops and restaurants, the place is also known as Little Tibet due to strong hold of Tibetan influenced tribe and peoples.

After an interesting and exciting tour of world heritage sites, return back to hotel for Mardi Himal around Annapurna Range trekking preparation and last minute briefing from our guides and staff.

Morning starting our adventure to Mardi Himal around Annapurna Range trekking taking a comfortable coach or in Big Tourist Bus, heading towards Nepal Mid West at scenic Pokhara a beautiful spot in all Himalaya range of warm sub-tropical temperatures with close views of Annapurna Himalaya with Mt. Machhapuchare ‘Fish Tail’.

On reaching Pokhara transfer to respective hotels by the Phewa Lake with views of mountains, afternoon at leisure for short walks around the lake side.

Morningdepart from the hotelfor short drive where scenic journey takes you to beyond Pokhara, with views of Manaslu and Annapurna Himalaya.

On reaching the road head village in Kande, our walk begins on high trail into cool shade of forest to reach a scenic, wide open field at Australian Camp, former Nepalese name as Thulo Kharka, meaning cattle grazing pastures.

Grand panorama of Annapurna Himalaya with towering Machhapuchare Himal seen from this lovely spot, from here few hour gentle walks brings you at Potana a village in the midst of forest with grand views of Annapurna Himalaya.

After a pleasant overnight stop at Potana village with fantastic views, walk begins on the main trekking trail reaching at Pitam Deurali with super views of landscapes and snow-clad peaks. After Deurali heading north along the ridgeline into serene forested area with cool temperature with panorama of Annapurna I and South with Huinchuli to the east Annapurna IV -II and Lamjung Himal and then reaching our overnight stop in the middle of forest where few lodges are located for trekkers.

From this forest area, walk leads higher on uphill path with a steep climb to reach a pasture land for overnight stop on route Mardi base camp with fantastic views of surrounding landscapes and mountains at close range.

This wonderful area offering grand vista of beautiful landscapes and snow-clad peaks in perfect tranquility heading higher to reach at High Camp as the air gets thinner and cooler with steep climb to reach at High Camp where tree lines fades to short rhododendron and juniper bushes.

Here at High Camp with a lonely lodge for overnight accommodation with basic facilities commanding super views of Annapurna Himalaya.

Here with another night stop to explore beyond High Camp with day hike to Mardi Himal higher ridge reaching the highest point of this trek at 4,500 meters.

Walk leads to steep climb on a ridgeline to a hidden plateau at base of Mardi Himal South Face with towering Mt. Machapuchare; this area named as 'Other Sanctuary' by pioneer Col. Jimmy Roberts, when he first explored this area in early 1970's. After enjoying views of mountain panorama return back on same route to our overnight stop at High Camp.

Following our route back into deep forested areas to reach the Low or Jungle / Forest Camp for overnight before heading downhill to lower warm areas.

Our last day walk of the adventure ends today to Dhampus village morning walks lead into cool shade of forest to Deurali, a place on route Mardi Himal and on route Pokhara offering grand views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Himalaya.

From here on downhill into green forested areas past the nice Potana village with gradual walk to reach at Dhampus village, located on a high ridge facing panorama of mountains.

At Dhampus, an hour drive brings you back to Pokhara by the Phewa Lake side after completing a grand adventure on the Mardi Himal around the Annapurna Range trek.

After a wonderful time in the high mountains and hills, taking a morning driving journey back to Kathmandu, on reaching Kathmandu after 5-6 hours of nice interesting drive, transfer to respective hotels with afternoon free at leisure or last day shopping souvenirs and handicrafts.(Options by air 30 minutes flight back to Kathmandu with great views)

Last day in Nepal in the country of high Himalayan mountains with fascinating culture, after a memorable time on Mardi Himal around Annapurna range Trekking with amazing experience, as per your international flight time our staff transfers you to airport for the flight homeward bound or to your next port of call and respective countries.
